Minnesota’s ONLY Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program begins July 2, 2018.
Twin Cities-based Apple Tree Dental's AEGD residency program, in collaboration with NYU Langone Health, is seeking one additional candidate for AEGD residency July 2, 2018 – June 28, 2019.
This accredited AEGD program offers two residents a one-year training opportunity based at Apple Tree’s Mounds View Center for Dental Health in the Twin Cities. Residents will gain valuable experiences with a large team of clinicians dedicated to serving patients with a broad spectrum of needs. In addition to general dentistry, the Mounds View Center also has an Advanced Dentistry Clinic where IV sedation procedures are provided in collaboration with nurse anesthetists.
Residents can expect to see a wide variety of patients of all ages, including those with special health care needs and access to care challenges. Residents will gain experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative, fixed and removal prosthodontics, implant restoration, endodontics (including molars), and oral surgery (including third molar extractions). Residents will also treat patients under IV sedation in conjunction with faculty members.
Residents will benefit from the mentoring received by several experienced, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic faculty dentists. This program also includes a strong didactic component developed by NYU Langone Health.
