Greater Minnesota columnist for the Minnesota Star Tribune, Karen Tolkkinen, published an article on Saturday that highlighted the issue of oral health accessibility in Minnesota, particularly in rural areas. In preparation for the article, Tolkkinen interviewed Apple Tree Dental's Policy Director, Deb Jacobi, and Apple Tree's Communications Director, Emma Larson.

Tolkkinen alluded to the difficulty in finding and keeping staff in rural areas, as well as the waiting lists that patients experience when trying to find care at clinics across the state.
