In a December 12, 2024 article in the Fairmont Sentinel, it was announced that the Schmeeckle Foundation, which funds projects in Martin County, Minnesota, donated a total of $292,150 to eight groups in the area, with the bulk of funds going to Apple Tree Dental's Fairmont Center Workforce Development Project.
Apple Tree Dental has partnered with the Schmeeckle Foundation for almost seven years. The Schmeeckle Foundation has been a champion of the Fairmont Center for Dental Health, which opened April 1, 2020 as a result of generous funding from the foundation. A plaque honoring Juanita Schmeeckle, the foundation's initiator and namesake, is mounted in the waiting room at the Fairmont Center.
