Late in the afternoon on October 27, 2021, the StarTribune editorial board published an article highlighting the changes in legislative policy surrounding dental care for Minnesotans on public health programs. The article points out the benefits of collaboration and the efforts put in by Minnesota's dental providers, the Department of Human Services, and Representative Tina Liebling (DFL - Rochester) and Senator Michelle Benson (R - Ham Lake).
As the article points out, "Dental care is critical for good health and when it's ignored, there are downstream costs in the form of expensive emergency care, missed work and, in kids' case, missed school. Minnesota is well served by the conscientious collaboration that forged these promising solutions."
