Recent wildfires in Minnesota and Canada have contributed to poor air quality, particularly in the summers, that can affect Apple Tree Dental's patients and staff, and Minnesotans in general.
Many of Apple Tree's patients have special healthcare needs, and can benefit from increased caution during times of higher AQI (air quality index) readings. However, everyone should exercise caution when the AQI gets very high.
The American Lung Association recommends certain protective measures to prevent adverse health effects from poor air quality. These include limiting time outdoors (especially doing strenuous activities such as exercise outdoors), wearing an N95 or KN95 mask, and using air filters and other methods to keep the air quality in your home adequate.
