Shana Buerck, DT, LDH, DA earned her degrees from Century College and Metropolitan State University. She joined the team at Apple Tree Dental in 2023.

Shana's interest in dentistry started when she did EMT training in high school. She also had orthodontia work done around the same time. She realized that she didn't want to go into the medical field, but enjoyed learning about oral health. Her favorite part of the job is working with great people and making a lot of connections. Her special interest is the connection between oral and overall health, and improving her patients' quality of life.

She belongs to the Minnesota Dental Therapy Association and the American Dental Hygiene Association. She is also a Girl Scout leader. Shana has also volunteered with Give Kids A Smile, Mission of Mercy, and Special Olympics.

Originally from Forest Lake, Shana now lives in Mahtomedi with her husband, three kids, and dog. She loves living in Minnesota and enjoys outdoor activities during all four seasons - boating, swimming, alpine skiing, and snow shoeing.
