Pedro joined the Apple Tree Dental team in 2026. He earned his undergraduate degree from Luther College in 2017, then got his Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree in 2023 and his Master of Dental Therapy in 2024.

He was inspired to start working in dentistry during COVID, when he wanted to do more than work from home. After volunteering as a translator and assistant at Hope Dental in St. Paul, he fell in love with dentistry, helping people get out of pain, and seeing them smile again.

He enjoys providing his patients with a relaxed environment that contradicts the narrative that going to a dental appointment is scary. His goal is to provide quality care to his patients that meets them where they are. He likes talking and getting to know his patients to help them feel relaxed and not see him as a "scary dental professional." Pedro wants his patients to know that he is here to help and he always aims to help his patients get their smiles back and keep them.

Originally from Postville, Iowa, Pedro now lives in Lake City, Minnesota (Go Tigers!) with his spouse, Emily Wick, DDS, and their pets, Winnie (cat), Deco (cat), and Moose (dog). When he isn't in the clinic, Pedro enjoys spending time with his pets and going to the dog park. Music is a big part of his daily routine, and he prides himself on having eclectic taste - from Disney, to 70s classics, to Kendrick Lamar, to Coldplay. During the summer, he likes to escape to the North Shore and explore Minnesota's great outdoors. Most recently, Pedro has become a fan of (American) football, and while he doesn't have a team that he roots for, he enjoys the different rivalries and has strong opinions throughout the season! (And he welcomes his patients to convince him to pick a team.) Lastly, he enjoys reading and he likes to stick with nonfiction books that are related to world events, history, and true crime.

He welcomes his patients to share their hobbies and interests...who knows, he might add more to his list!
