Cheryl Romana, DMD, completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, majoring with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Cell Biology. She then graduated with a DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. She joined the Apple Tree Dental team in 2017.

The aspect of dentistry that Dr. Romana enjoys the most is working with her hands, working with her patients, and working in the biomedical sciences and medicine.  "Dentistry is a perfect combination of those three things," Dr. Romana says. She also has a special interest in patient education and geriatric care.

Dr. Romana lives in Shoreview with her husband and three boys. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, traveling, and trying out new restaurants. The thing she likes most about working at Apple Tree Dental is the variety that each day brings: building relationships with patients, the different dental procedures she learns, and the wide range of people that she is able to treat, from children to people in nursing homes. She adds, "I know that many patients are fearful of going to the dentist, so I try to make the experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible."
