Ashley Johnson, DMD, affectionately known as "Dr. Ashley" to her colleagues, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego in 2001. She earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2007 and a Certification in Public Health Care from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. Dr. Johnson joined Apple Tree Dental in July 2015 and later became Apple Tree's Equity and Compliance Director.

The reason Dr. Johnson became a dentist is because she wanted to help others. She loves being able to help others achieve oral health and live their best lives.  She holds a special interest in preventive care, and she especially enjoys working with elderly patients.  Another special interest of Dr. Johnson's is the education of new dental professionals, as well as equity and inclusion.  She heads Apple Tree's Career Equity Project and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Dr. Johnson belongs to the National Network for Oral Health Access and the American Association of Women Dentists and volunteers with Mission of Mercy.

Born in San Diego, CA, Dr. Johnson currently resides in Minneapolis, MN. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, arts and crafts, cooking, watching movies, the outdoors, and animals of all sizes.
