Not long ago, many people assumed that as we age, we would lose our natural teeth. Today, that's not the case for older adults who are keeping their natural teeth longer than ever before. A healthy mouth and teeth can help you look good, eat delicious and nutritious foods, and speak clearly and confidently. A healthy mouth is essential for overall health and wellbeing.
As adults grow older, it can be difficult to get to the dentist on a regular basis. Transportation can be more challenging, and so can general mobility. Apple Tree began delivering on-site dental care to elderly patients back in 1986 in order to provide convenient and affordable alternatives to traditional dental settings.
Where can you get care?
All of our Centers for Dental Health serve patients of all ages and many are equipped for elderly patients in particular. However, Apple Tree works with about 200 community partner sites, including nursing facilities, throughout Minnesota. The largest concentration of partner facilities exists in the Twin Cities Metro area, followed by west central Minnesota and the Rochester area.
