Dr. Claire Ackerman graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and shortly after, in August of 2022, she began dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry. She officially graduated in May of 2026 with her DDS degree and joined the team at Apple Tree Dental after graduation.

Of her interest in dentistry, Dr. Ackerman says that she has always been fascinated with the mouth and the way a smile can change someone's whole life. "Being able to provide care for people who are in pain or who are not confident in their smile has always been a motivating factor for me to join this profession." She loves dentistry because she is able to form connections with people and transform their thoughts about going to the dentist. Dr. Ackerman aims to reduce the negative connotations people have about going to the dental office, and she enjoys educating her patients on the best ways to care for their smile and the different ways in which a healthy mouth can lead to a happier body overall.

Originally from Circle Pines, Dr. Ackerman now lives and works in Rochester, Minnesota. In her free time, you will find her reading, watching a documentary, or attending a fitness class. She also enjoys crocheting and is hoping to learn how to knit and sew in the near future. Dr. Ackerman is new to the Rochester area, so if you come in for an appointment, she welcomes suggestions on favorite activities and places to visit nearby!
