Dr. Shinwen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2024. She also joined Apple Tree Dental in 2024.

She has always been drawn to health care, and was intrigued by teeth, so dentistry was the perfect career choice for her. She started off her career as a dental hygienist at a community health center before going back to dental school. Now, as a dentist, she still loves forming relationships with her patients and making a difference in their lives. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and oral surgery.

Dr. Shinwen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the OKU Dental Honor Society, and the SPA Dental Hygiene Honor Society.

Originally from Bamenda, Cameroon, Dr. Shinwen now lives in Shoreview with her spouse and two children. She likes kickboxing, watching movies, traveling around the world, and spending time with her family.
