Dr. Teresa Johnson, affectionately called "Dr. Teresa" by everyone, joined Apple Tree in 2005 as a dentist. She became Apple Tree's Chief Dental Officer in 2026. Dr. Teresa has a long education history, including a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Nutrition, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, General Practice Residency, Masters of Science in Geriatric Dentistry, and Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology.

After a 12-year career in postdoctoral and predoctoral dental education in Nebraska, Dr. Teresa was recruited to join Apple Tree Dental with opportunities to continue providing dental care services to those most in need, while advancing her educational and clinical dentistry skills and assuming new leadership roles. Apple Tree's mission and vision were in line with her own personal and professional aspirations, so it has truly been a great fit. Her favorite part of the job is collaborating with her colleagues, all of whom she says are gifted, talented and knowledgeable coworkers who share the same passion to positively impact and help the underserved.

She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.

Dr. Teresa lives on a small lake in southern Minnesota. She is grateful to be so near to many siblings and extended family members, enjoying lake life and sharing it with family, including one of her great nieces. She has two cats, Pouncie and Bougie, and her niece's German Shepherd, Koda, rounds out their pets. Outside of work, she enjoys watching wildlife, doing lake activities, reading, watching great movies, following Golden Gopher sports, attending great nephew and nieces' school-related activities, and spending precious time with family.
