Mary earned her Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication in Journalism from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She started with Apple Tree Dental in 2016 and became the Chief Development Officer in 2025.

Mary joined Apple Tre after learning about the mission, and she enjoys working with Apple Tree's outstanding team to secure support and partnerships for that mission. She is part of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), CFRE International, the Minnesota Oral Health Coalition (MOHC), and the Minnesota Rural Health Association (MRHA). She is on the GPA Awards Committee, has been a grant reviewer for the Minnesota Department of Higher Education, and is an organizer for her community's Newcomers Club events.

Recently, Mary earned a Certified Fundraising Executive Certification. Outside of work, she loves to garden, paint, hike, read, work out, and swim. She and her husband enjoy traveling, exploring local community events, and trying out new restaurants and venues.
