Dr. Andrew Thompkins graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, then from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry, with a DDS degree. He joined the team at Apple Tree Dental in 2026.

Healthcare, Dr. Thompkins believes, is a human right. It was important to him to join a field that aligns with that belief, as well as his personal philosophy to cultivate an environment that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusivity, and overcomes adversity in access to care. He loves living out those tenets and uplifting his community. He also loves spending time with his patients and colleagues, and celebrating moments of joy, such as when patients are very happy with the dental services provided, and when his colleagues and Apple Tree have achievements.

Dr. Thompkins is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, and has participated in community outreach with the Joon Project and Move Minneapolis.

Originally from Bentonville, Arkansas, Dr. Thompkins is new to Minnesota and would love to get recommendations from patients on fun activities or places in the Twin Cities that they enjoy. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife; when he's not working, he likes hiking, reading, and spending time in parks and by the lake.
