On June 28, 2019, the first American Dental Association (ADA) Elder Care Symposium took place at the ADA Headquarters.  The ADA Council on Dental Practice and its National Elder Care Advisory Committee, which includes Dr. Michael Helgeson, CEO of Apple Tree Dental, presented the symposium.  Dr. Helgeson had the honor of being one of the speakers at the event.  The Elder Care Symposium drew attention to the critical need for quality oral care for elderly patients, especially as the population ages.  In particular, the symposium sought to focus on the relationship between oral health and systemic health.

Downloads from the symposium presentations were available until September 15, 2019.  This included the presentation on Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), which Apple Tree's CEO took part in presenting to the symposium.
